This grant is open to applicants that meet the following guidelines:

A current junior or senior at Islesboro Central School (island or magnet students).

The applicant is seeking funds to pursue training, education, transportation costs, or materials that advance the applicant’s professional goals as well as benefit the Islesboro community in some fashion.

The applicant, if selected as a recipient, agrees to demonstrate how their award has benefited them and their community through sharing photographs, a video, letters, or other with the school and with the donors.
This application is open for all ICS 9-12th grade students who reside in Islesboro. You do not need to be a senior to apply for this scholarship!
Scott Grindle was an island resident who had a distinct passion for the arts.
Established in 2015, the Scott Grindle Memorial Scholarship fund provides scholarship assistance to a student in grades 9-12 at Islesboro Central School who is an island resident and who is pursuing an interest in the arts.
Applicants must:

Be residents of Islesboro

Have a demonstrated talent for and interest in making visual art

Submit a work of art to the committee

Have an independent spirit
